After public testimony on May 15th, the new Medicaid ABA benefit called “Intensive Behavioral Services for Children with Autism (CIBS)” has been revised and refiled on Friday, May 26th. Now, the rule moves to JCARR scheduled for June 19, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the William McKinley hearing room at the Statehouse.
JCARR consists of five State Representatives and five State Senators. JCARR’s primary function is to review proposed new, amended, and rescinded rules from over 110 state agencies lto ensure they do not exceed their rule-making authority granted to them by the General Assembly. If a rule violates one or more of the six items listed below, the JCARR committee could make a recommendation to invalidate the rule. To learn more follow this link.
