CASP Releases Updated Standards of Care for ABA Services for the Treatment of ASD

The Council of Autism Service Providers is a non-profit organization that developed the generally accepted standards of care called the Applied Behavior Analysis Practice Guidelines for the Treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (the “ABA Practice Guidelines”). The purpose of the Guidelines is to inform decision-making regarding the use of ABA as a medically necessary service authorized and reimbursed by health insurance coverage.  CASP recently released updated Guidelines in 2024.  The Guidelines share the best practices of ABA activities, the three-tiered delivery structure, research articles, and the difference between focused ABA interventions and comprehensive ABA interventions.
